Monday, October 31, 1977: Trick or Treat Upscale
this morning when I played soccer I fell. Beth came over right away and asked if I was okay. We had hotdogs at lunch. Beth is always talking about her 17 year old boyfriend and his Honda Civic now.
Tonight we went to Arnold's. Danny Gillard took David, Chris and myself around tricker or treating where the rich people live. Later we played pool. I won one game out of three.
Sunday, October 30, 1977: Can't Wait
I've been feeling sick lately. I went to Church today. Anne came home this afternoon. I can't wait to see Beth tomorrow.
Saturday, October 29, 1977: Halloween Party 77
Today I got up at around 12:00 o'clock. I worked on my model tank. This afternoon I went down to Robert's. We came back up to my house to get the basement ready for the Halloween Party. We made bodies out of old clothes and newspapers and put them all over the place. I put a glowing skull on one of the bodies for head. We sat him in the back basement. We named him Henry. David and Gary Yeadon came over for the party. Gary or David walked down the stairs and enter the laundry room. Then Robert pushes a box down the stairs which sounds like a person falling. Then they walk under the steps and see a "dead body" named Albert. As they walk towards the back basement they see another we named "Sam". When they get into the back basement they go in and see a glow. They went up to see it's a skull then I pushed a rollaway bed across the door so they can't get out. After we did that we went to the rec room and we played games and ate pizza. I watched "Stacey's Country Fuel Mart Jamboree" on TV.
Friday, October 28, 1977: Best Day of the Week
I think today was the best day of the week. I scored 100 % in a social studies test. I got a goal in soccer. After school Robert, Nancy Mrs. Calnen and I went to Bayers Road Shopping Centre. I saw Beth and she said hi to me. I was lost for words. Later I ent to thet hobby store. I bought some models. I bought the '45 of the Meco Star Wars theme. After I got home Dad, Mom, Anne and I went to some big thing at the Holiday Inn.
Thursday, October 27, 1977: Beth Finds Out
Today wasn't that bad. It fact it was okay. But Beth found I like her.. Robert talked to Louise and big mouth told Beth. I guess if she does like me I'll find out soon.
Wednesday, October 26, 1977: Barfy Day
What a barfy day. This morning Mrs. Moore gave me a demerit for leaving my desk when I never did. I almost told her to stuff it when she was yacking away at Beth for the same thing. I had a pile of homework tonight because of that slave driving battle axe.
Tuesday, October 25, 1977: 3 Pages, 2 Goals
Mrs. Moore is a real pain. Now she wants me to do 3 pages a day and 3 pages a night in every subject.
Tonight Robert and I went to A.F.C. We played basket ball and soccer. I scored twice in soccer.
Monday, October 24, 1977: Demerits
Mrs. Moore has been a headache lately. I have got two demerits from her. Yesterday I got Greg to give Louise some of that "hot gum" that I bought on Saturday. I don't knokw if she has tasted it or not.
Beth is so pretty. I am crazy about her. I don't think she like me though. Robert and I burnt an old model battleship today. I have a test tomorrow. Now Mom is calling me. I'd better go.
Sunday, October 23, 1977: House of Mie Mie
I went to Sunday School and Church today. Afterwards Mom, Dad, Anne, Uncle Everette, Auntie Edna, Mr. Nunn and I went to "The House of Mie Mie" for Chinese food. After Lunch we went to the Airport. Dad and Mr. Nunn went to Newfoundland. Anne and I watched TV.
Saturday, October 22, 1977: Peggy's Cove
Today I went to Peggy's Cove with Anne and Ron Gagnon and his girlfriend Sandy. We walked around a while on all the rocks. Then we went to a restaurant. They had a store that sold disappearing ink. I bought some of that and some hot gum.
Last night I had a dream about Jeff Longard and me in some strange land being chased by monsters and fun stuff like that.
Friday, October 21, 1977: To the Mall
Nothing happened in school today. After school Dad, Anne and I went to the Bayers Road Shopping Mall.
Thursday, October 20, 1977: Robert's Gossip
I went to school today. Robert says Beth likes me. I don't know if I should believe him or not. I don't know what to think or do. Half of me is saying give up the other half says keep trying.

2) She is a year older than me
3) Boys flock around her

Tuesday, October 18, 1977: Soccer Injury
Nothing happened until noon. Playing soccer I fell and hurt my arm. Mom took me to the hospital for X-rays. Nothing is broken but my ribs and arm are hurt real bad.
Monday, October 17, 1977: Beth Insults Me
The Girl from BC left this morning. It was really stormy out today. I had to take a taxi to school. Robert didn't come because he had to get his cast redone. Beth insulted me today.
Sunday, October 16, 1977: Church
I went to Church this morning. After lunch Mom, Dad and the girl who is visiting from BC went to Peggy's Cove. I didn't go to Church tonight.
Saturday, October 15, 1977: Airfix
Last night I had a dream about Beth. Today we went to the shopping center. I bought some pain and some Airfix soldiers. A girl from BC is visiting us.
Friday, October 14, 1977: To Uncle Everet's
Today we went to Uncle Everet's. W got back at 10:55 pm. I watched a soccer game on TV until midnight.
Thursday, October 13, 1977: Sickly
Last night I was sick so I didn't go to school. I slept in until 12:00 noon. I had a weird dream about Jeff, Jon, Keith and myself going to this small town and everyone vanishes but us.
today I called Robert to see what was new.
Wednesday, October 12, 1977: Chicken!
I am almost positive Lawrence has broken up with Beth. Robert want me to ask her to go to the fair with him and some other girl. But I'm CHICKEN! I haven't been feeling so well either. I am taking a test tomorrow.
Tuesday, October 11, 1977: Lawrence and Beth
I don't know what to say about Lawrence and Beth. Some times he acts like he doesn't like her and some times he acts like he does. He even told Donald that he could go after her. I went to A.F.C. tonight. the new guy is coming to it now.
Monday, October 10, 1977: Thanksgiving With Anne
Today there wasn't any school. Mom and Dad went to the Camp up in the Bay of Fundy for some kind of Thanksgiving services. Anne and I stayed home. I slept in until 12:30. Anne and I walked down to the store. We made part of a tape until Mom and Dad came home.
Saturday, October 8, 1977: Taping & Model
I went to Robert's house and taped some songs. I worked on my model and it is coming along good. I watched "Murder on the Orient Express" tonight.
The "Human Fly" tried to jump a whole mess of buses and almost killed himself.
Friday, October 7, 1977: New Glasses
There was no School today. We went to get my new glasses. On the way home I saw Louise and Beth walking along together.
After I got my glasses we went to the Bayer's Road shopping mall. I bought a model truck and a Star Wars record.
Thursday, October 6, 1977: Soccer and Baseball
Today at recess we played soccer and I scored a goal. Lawrence said I kicked him but I didn't. He's being a show off because Beth is around. He doesn't like someone beating him in front of her.
We got this afternoon off. Robert and I made a rocket. Robert broke his knee cap tonight playing baseball.
Tuesday, October 4, 1977: Lawrence + Beth?
Today I found out that I was wrong by saying "I think Lawrence is losing interest in Beth". They are are just as friendly as ever. I am talking to her more than I was a week ago though anyways.
We played soccer at A.F.C. tonight. The teams were David Yeadon, Fred Keating, Chris, Richie and Me verses Gary Yeadon, Robert, Ron, and some other kids. We won 8 to 4. I scored the last 3 goals. I have a PACE test tomorrow at school.
Monday, October 3, 1977: Almost Talking
Today was better than most Mondays. I saw Beth and we almost started talking to one another. I think Lawrence might be losing interest in her. She borrowed my book today too
Saturday, October 1, 1977: Gloria Yeadon's 16th Birthday Part
Nothing happened until tonight. I went to Gloria Yeadon's 16th Birthday part. At first David Yeadon and I just goofed around outside. Then we went to this house where Gary Yeadon was babysitting with some cute girl named Mary. Gary was sitting as far away from her as he could. David and I went back to the Yeadon's house.
