Friday, March 31, 1978: Maybe Mini
I got up at 11:00 am today. I wrote a letter to Greg in Halifax. I bought that electronic organ kit. Brian said he might bring over their band's Mini-Moog for me to see. (Nice guy)
Thursday, March 30, 1978: To Sheppard Center
I got up at 11:00 am today. Bruce, Anne and I went to the Sheppard Center. I am going to buy an electronic organ kit. I also saw a sound effects record. Tonight Ann Gamble and her Husband came over.
Wednesday, March 29, 1978: Tests
I went to my new school today to take some tests. I met a girl named Kelly. I don't have to go to school until Monday. Dad and I went to the Sheppard Center.
Monday, March 27, 1978: Sheppard Center
I got up at 11:00 am. Anne, Celest, Bruce and I walked down to the Sheppard Center Mall. I bought a record called "Music from Close Encounters of the Third Kind performed by the Electric Moog Orchestra".
Tonight Bruce and Anne went to hear our cousin Brian sing with his rock group "The Hunt".
Sunday, March 26, 1978: Bruce Gets Saved
I went to Church today. Mom, Dad, Anne, and Bruce went to Church tonight. Marla and I baby sat Celest. We watched "Wizard of Oz" on TV. Bruce got saved at Church. After Church Dad, Bruce and I went to the store for milk.
Saturday, March 25, 1978: Arrivals
I got up at about 7:30 am this morning. I went downstairs and watched TV. The moving van came with our stuff. Our refridgerator came as well. Auntie Audrey, Uncle Ken, Marla and Valerie came over after lunch. I made some frozen pizzas for Marla, Valerie and me. My Brother Bruce and Anne's daughter Celest arrived tonight from B.C. I went to Marla and Valerie's for the night.
Friday, March 24, 1978: Cable TV
Our cable TV converter came today so now we can watch any one of 20 channels. After supper we went to Uncle Doug's.
Thursday, March 23, 1978: Arriving in Toronto
We arrived in Toronto at 12:00 noon. A fireman named Terry Evans who goes to our church was painting the house when we arrived. Terry, Dad, Anne and I went to a restaurant for lunch. Later Dad and I went to the store. We bought quite a lot of groceries. I had pizza for supper. Anne and I watched TV until 11:00 pm.
Wednesday, March 22, 1978: Arriving In Ontario
We left this morning at 9:50 am. We drove to Montreal and got lost. We drove to Kingston Ontario.
Tuesday, March 21, 1978: Snow Storm
We had a big snow storm so we only drove for two hours. We stopped in a nice hotel.
Monday, March 20, 1978: Leaving Nova Scotia
We left for Ontario at noon. We drove to northern New Brunswick. We'll be in Ontario by Wednesday.
Sunday, March 19, 1978: New Camera
I got up and went to Church. After Church Marshall gave Dad a new Canon Camera (Canon FTb). We went to The House of Mie Mie for lunch. We went to the Yeadon's for supper.
Saturday, March 18, 1978: At Uncle Evert's
I got up at 9:30 am. I had bacon and pancakes for breakfast. Mom and Dad went to our house to clean it. I helped Aunt Edna collect pop and other kinds of bottles. Ron and Sandy came over for a little while. I went up to the penthouse of their building. When I did I walked up to the second floor then took the elevator the rest of the way (I taped the whole thing).
Saturday, March 18, 1978: To Uncle Evert's
I got up at 7:30 am. Anne didn't go to work because it was so stormy out. Dad accidently backed down in the creek (about another foot and we would have had to get a a tow truck). I am making a tape for Jon about moving to Toronto. I am taping actual conversations and stuff. the movers came and helped Dad get out of the creek. We went to Uncle Everts'. I worked on my tape for Jon. Aunt Edna and I play yatzy.
Thursday, March 16, 1978: Moving Men
I went to school today but Robert didn't. The moving men came and packed most of our stuff.
Wednesday, March 15, 1978: Farewell Parties
Today I went to school. At lunch we had hot dogs. I sat by Ann (Beth's Sister) and we talked. She is a nice person not like what Robert says. After lunch they had a going away party for me. Tonight the church had a farewell party for us. They gave me a model plane.
Tuesday, March 14, 1978: Pizza for Dinner
I went to school today. We played ball tag at lunch. I passed both my spelling test and my French test. After school I burnt some garbage with Dad. Mom and Dad went out at about 5:00 pm. Anne made me a pizza for supper. We had popcorn after and listened to tapes for about an hour.
Monday, March 13, 1978: Tests
I went to school this morning. I had a spelling test and a French test. I didn't go to Army Cadets tonight.
Sunday, March 12, 1978: Church
I went to Church this morning. At Sunday school I saw Billy. After we went to Uncle Evert's for lunch. Anne ate at the Yeadon's. I did my home work when I got home. I didn't go to church tonight.
Saturday, March 11, 1978: Walk to Mail Box
I slept in until 12:00 noon. I walked down to the mail box with Anne. After I took some pictures of the creek. I went over to Bill's next door but he wasn't home. Mom and Dad went out for supper. Wehn they got home Dad had to go to the Church for a board meeting. Mom made me some food. I had a bath after and washed my hair. Anne went to some play with Robert's brother Bill.
Friday, March 10, 1978: House of Mie Mie
Today I went to school. At break we played ball tag. At lunch Mom, Dad and I went to "The House of Mie Mie" for Chinese food. (Yummy!) After supper Dad went to some kind of board meeting. Anne went to a friends house for supper. Later we had company. I wnet in my room and played tapes and drew. I have been thinking about Ontario lately.
Thursday, March 9, 1978: Staying Up
I went to school today. Mrs. Battleaxe is always picking on somebody. We played ball tag at lunch break. Dad took the car in to get fixed. After supper Mom and Dad went to some place. I stayed up to watch "James at 16". Caroline came over.
Wednesday, March 8, 1978: Sonic Booms
I woke up this morning to feel this weird vibration and all of a sudden BOOM! And then BOOM! The windows shook and it scared the cat off of the bed! I think it was two stupid jet fighters flying over and they broke the sound barrier.
I went to school as usual. PE class was cruddy. I had been having lots of UFO dreams lately and the dreams seem different from most.
Tuesday, March 7, 1978: Thoughts On Moving
Today was good. I went to school as usual and as usual Mrs Battleaxe was a pain. Robert is friendly with Lawrence and they exchange dirty jokes. At AFC tonight we played soccer. I scored once. I feel funny about some thing. Peter, my friend from AFC will probably never see me again. I haven't felt that way since 1974 when we moved here.
I hope I meet a girl in Toronto. I feel so lonely sometimes. (I mean most of the time)
Monday, March 6, 1978: Uncle Snoots Boots
Today was good. I went to school as usual. All morning I was stuck on two pages of Math. At recess Robert and I played dominos. We talked about a show called "Uncle Crock's Block" that was cancelled after about six weeks. Robert called it "Uncle Snoot's Boots".
I went home for lunch. After school Dad and I went to pick up Anne. We had extra time so went to the hobby shop. I bought some Airfix soldiers. I went to Army Cadets tonight. We didn't do any shooting. I saw the end of Miss Teen Canada on TV. Ottawa should have won.
Sunday, March 5, 1978: Anne to take Train
I got up this morning and went to church. After church we went to Uncle Everett's. Anne is going on the train with Caroline instead of coming with us to Ontario.
Saturday, March 4, 1978: Snow Storm
Wow! Did we ever get a storm last night. 20 cm's of snow! I got up at 10:45 am. Jenny was here. I watched a movie on "Peanuts and Popcorn". I went to Bill's next door to show him my electronic set. We made some stuff on it. Mom made spagetti at supper. At 7:30 pm I went down to Robert's (Anne and Caroline were already there). I drew with Robert. At 10:30 pm we came home and Anne washed my hair.
Friday, March 3, 1978: Bearcats
I went to school today. Anne and Caroline went to see teh movie "The Goodbye Girl". I watched "The Bearcats" on TV.
Thursday, March 2, 1978: James at 16
Today I went to school. After school I went to Robert's. Mom and Dad went to some church thing somewhere. Anne went to get her hair done. Later Anne came down to Robert's. Robert and I watched the TV show "James at 16". Then at 11:00 pm Anne and I came home.
Wednesday, March 1, 1978: Spilling Ink
I didn't go to school today. I fell alot better. I can probably go tomorrow. Robert brought his camera up after school today. Later on after supper and I cleaned out one of my drawers in my dresser. I dripped some black india ink on the rug. Anne and I spent about an hour cleaning it up.
