Saturday, September 30, 1978: Many Cousins

I got up at 9:30 am. I watched TV. Lenny came over for a few minutes. I had lunch. Dad took Uncle Everett over to Brian and Katies'. I went with him. We stopped at a shopping mall.

Tonight Ron and Beverly (my cousin and her husband), Royden Gagnon and his wife, Uncle Ken, Auntie Audrey, Marla and Valerie came over. They left after supper. After they left Dad and I went to a store. I had some thing to eat then I went to bed.

Friday, September 29, 1978: Ride to the Park

I got up at 7:30 am. I went to school. I had Art first. Then Typing. After that PE. At lunch I went to the Fire Pit. After lunch I went to the Hobby Shop.
After school I walked home with Lenny.

Lenny came over and we went riding. We rode to a park. Nothing much else happened today.

Thursday, September 28, 1978: Lenny

I got up at 7:30 am. I went to school. I had PE. Second period was Science, then History. I went to the Fire Pit for lunch. I sat with those guys from Grade 10. I had a hamburger and a shake. After I wen to the Hobby Shop. I walked back to school.

I had English, Math then Music. I walked home from school. I stopped at the photohut and put another film in. I walked home. I met a guy who lives on our street named Lenny. We talked for a while. When I got home I watched TV. After supper Mom and Dad went out. I went to Church with Bruce.

Wednesday, September 27, 1978: Uncle Everett Arrives

I got up at 7:50 am. I felt sick still so I didn't go to school. I lay back down and I fell asleep until 12:50. I got up and went downstairs. I watched TV and had lunch. Uncle Everett arrived from Nova Scotia today.

Tuesday, September 26, 1978: Sick

I got up at 7:30 am. I washed my hair, and went to school. We had our class and single pictures taken. I missed first period (English) because of it. I went to Music class then Art. I walked down to the Fire Pit and had lunch. I didn't feel good after lunch so I went home. I slept from 12:50 pm to 3:00. Anne brought me some sparklers from the store where she works.

Monday, September 25, 1978: Booing Trudeau

I got up at 7:50 am this morning. I went to school. I had Art first. Then I had Typing. Next was PE. We played flag football. At lunch I went to the Fire Pit. I sat with some guys in grade 10. We talked. After I walked around a bit then went back to school.

We had Math first, then Science. Last period was History. We saw a movie on French Canadians. It sounded like a sob story. When the picture of Trudeau came on we all booed him.

I walked home from school. I stopped at the store and bought two bags of sunflower seeds and a freezie. I was walking along and Dad picked me up.

Tonight I watched "The Goodies". I had pizza for supper. I worked on a tape. I went to bed at 11:00 pm.

Sunday, September 24, 1978: Choir and Carmina's

I got up at 8:30 am. I had a bath and got ready for Church. During service I sat with Hector and Mike Mayers. After service I had a steak for lunch and did my homework.

I went down to the Church to practice for the choir. During evening service we sang. They showed a moive about Christians in the USSR. We had problems with the projector as usual. It was a good service.

Rick Evans and I went over to Carmina's after Church. Bruce, Anne, Lisa and Daniel were there. We sang songs and ate. Rick drove Anne and I home. Mr and Mrs Gamble from Alberta were here when we got in.

Today I copied a tape to another tape using the machine at the Church.

Saturday, September 23, 1978: TV With Anne

I got up at 11:30 am. I went down stairs and watched TV. I helped Bruce was the cars. AFter that I got my hair washed. I worked on my Art homework. Mom and Dad went to Goldsworthy's house for supper. I stayed home.

Anne got back from Brian and Katies'. It was Jennifer's birthday so they had a party for her. I watched "Doctor Who" and "The Incrediable Hulk". I walked down to the store with Anne. We also watched "Mork and Mindy". We had pizza for supper. I worked on my Art some more. My tape of "Queen" broke but I can tape them again.

Friday, September 22, 1978: Feathered Hair

I got up at 7:50 today. I got ready and had breakfast. I went to school. I had PE first. We played flag football. After that we had science then History. We saw a movie on Canada. At lunch I went to the Fire Pit. I went to the hobby shop after that. I walked back to school.

We got our tes back in English. I got 23 out of 25. After English we had Math. Last period we had Music. Dad picked me up after school and I went to Tony the Hair Stylists'. I got my hair feathered. We drove home. All week I've been thinking about Gary Yeadon. If the stupid Mail guys weren't on strike I'd write him a letter.

I watched "The Goodies" on TV. I drove down to the Church with Bruce to get something. Tonight I watched a James Bond movie. After it was over I went up to my room and fixed a tape that got wrecked. I listened to it and it was a tape I had made when I was down in Halifax last summer. It had the 10cc song "I'm Not In Love" on it and that song has been going through my head all week. Things were so different when I lived in Halifax. My only worry was if Beth liked me or if I would pass my French tests. Now I worry about if I will have any friends at school.

Thursday, September 21, 1978: Photomat Closed

I got up at 7:30 am. I got breakfast and went to school. First I had music. Then Art and then Typing. At lunch I went to the Fire Pit and got my usual. After that I went to the Hobby shop. I went back to school and I had an English test on Shakespear. Then I had Math class and after Math I had History. I walked home from school.

I watched "The Goodies" before supper. After I watched "Doctor Who". I did my homework and went to the Sheppard Centre with Anne. We walked down to get my pictures out of the Photohug but they were already closed. We walked back home. We stopped in at the store. I bought a freezie. I watched some TV then went to bed.

Wednesday, September 20, 1978: No Watch

I got up at 7:40 am. I went to school. I had English class first then Music. After that we had Art. At lunch I went to the Fire Pit. Then I went to the Hobby Shop. This afternoon I had Typing, PE, and Science. I walked home. On the way home I put a film in to be developed. When I got home no one was there. Anne and Bruce were at work and Mom and Dad had gone shopping. Anne phoned me to tell me to phone her at 6:00 pm because she didn't have her watch on. I watched "The Goodies". I called Anne, ate supper and watched "Doctor Who". I did my homework then I went to bed.

Tuesday, September 19, 1978: Student ID Cards

I got up at 7:50. I had breakfast and then went to school. I had Art first, then Typing. After that it was PE. During PE they called us down to the lunch room to get our TTC student ID cards. At lunch I went down to the Fire Pit. After I ate I went to the Hobby Shop and looked around.

At school this afternoon I had Math, then Science and last History. I walked home from school and picked up my photos I put in the Photomat on Friday. A lot of them didn't come out. Tonight I watched "The Goodies" on TV. I had supper and watched "Doctor Who". I did my homework and watched a war movie with Dad. We also watched a show about modern weapons.

Monday, September 18, 1978: Goodies

I got up at 7:40 am. I had breakfast then went to school. It was raining out today. I had PE first. Then Science and last History. At lunch I went to the Fire Pit. I don't have to tel the guy what to put on my burger anymore. After lunch I had Math, and Music. In music we had our "breathing" tests.

It was raining when I went outside after school. Dad picked me up.
Anne got a job at People's Jewellers. I watched "The Goodies" on TV. Mom and Dad went out somewhere tonight.

Sunday, September 17, 1978: Battlestar

I got up at 8:40 am. After Church everyone went out. I stayed home alone. Tonight Mom and Dad went to Church. Anne and I stayed home. We watched "Battlestar Glaxtica" on TV. I was good but the ending was dumb. I went to bed at 11:50 pm.

Saturday, September 16, 1978: Dull Saturday

I woke up at 7:30 am. I wasn't sure what time it was so I turned on the radio to find out. I lay and thought for a while. At 8:00 am I got up and went down stairs to the TV room. I made myself toast. I watched some TV. Then I worked on a tape I'm making for Ron Gagnon.

Anne was at Brian and Katty's yesterday and she stayed over night. She came back today.

Thursday, September 14, 1978: Floyd Gets a Home

I got up at 7:00 am. I washed my hair. I went to School. First period I had English. After that I had Music, then Art. I walked down to the Fire Pit at Lunch. I got the usual. After I was finished eating I went to a piano and organ store. I walked back to School. I had Typing and PE. Last period I had Science.

After School I walked home. I bought some sunflower seeds amd a freezie. When I got home I watched TV. Doctor Who was on. After supper I watched "Mork and Mindy" which is a new show.

Some Lady who's a friend of Dad's came over with her daughter Lori to get that little dog Floyd that Anne found. Lori was no dog. I wish they had stayed longer. But I didn't know what to say to her.

I hate School.

Wednesday, September 13, 1978: The Usual

I forgot to write last night that I fell down the stair and hurt my wrist. I got up at 7:50 am. I had a bath. I went to school. I had Art first period. After that I had typing which was murder with my sore hand. Last I had PE.

At lunch I walked down to the Fire Pit. I had my usual then I walked down to the Keyboard Store. Later I went to the Conn Organ Store. The guy showed me a Korg mini preset Synthesizer. I played around with another Wurlitzer with the Orbit Synthesizer. Then I went back to School. After school I walked home. Nothing else happened today.

Tuesday, September 12, 1978: Ronny Gagnon Visits

I got up today at 7:30 am. I washed my hair. I had breakfast then went to school. First period was PE. We ran around the gym for five minutes because it was raining out. After that we played dodge ball. Second period I had Science then History. By lunch it had stopped raining.

I walked down to the Fire Pit for lunch and got a hamburger and Sprite. I walked down to the Keyboard Store and looked around for awhile. Then I went to the other keyboard store nextdoor. I found a Wultizer organ with an "Orbit" Moog synthesizer built into it. I aske the man who owns the place if I could hear how it sounds and he said yes. I fooled with that for awhile then I walked back to school.

I had English then Math. After I had Music. I walked directly home and stopped only once at the store. I bought a freezie and some sunflower seeds. I watched Hogan's Heros and Get Smart. I had supper at 6:00 pm.

Ron Gagnon (my cousin) and a friend of his from Nova Scotia arrived here today. After I watched Doctor Who I went upstairs and talked to Ron. Anne went with them to hear Brian Gagnon's (Ron's Brother) band "The Hunt". I did my homework and started getting ready for bed.

Bruce came home and brought Lisa and Carmina over. They watched slides.

The Cat got and another cat got in an argument outside. I went out and broke it up before it became a fight. I put The Cat in and chased the other one away. Then I went to bed.

Monday, September 11, 1978: TTC Strike

I got up at 7:30 am this morning. Bruce got a job. Dad drove me to school. the traffic was terrible because of the Toronto Transit Comission (TTC) strike. I got to school and my first subject was Music. Then I had Art. After that I had typing.

At lunch I walked down to the Fire Pit and bought myself a burger and a drink. After I walked to the Hobby Shop. I looked around for a while then went to the Keyboard Store.

I got back to school 5 minutes late. My first class was English. After that I had Math then History. Mrs. Box the History teacher is always hassling me.

I walked home and stopped at the Keyboard Store. I got some piano info (Mom is buying a piano). I walked down to the Fire Pit and got a drink then walked home. After supper I watched Doctor Who.

Sunday, September 10, 1978: Carmina gets Saved, Anne finds Dog

I got up rather late this morning at 10:30 am. I stayed home from Church since I didn't have time to get ready. It was stormy out today and that bothered Bruce's dog Cher.

Mom and Dad got home from Church at around 12:30. Bruce and Anne went to a ball game. I watched TV and played with my old electric race car set all day.

At 6:00 pm I had supper. I went to Church with Bruce. He drove also drove Lisa, Danielle and a girl from Switzerland named Carmina to Church. It was a good service. I sat with the three girls and Bruce lead the singing. Dad preached about Jesus being a refuge in a storm. Carmina got saved.

After Church Bruce drove Lisa, Danielle, Carmina, this girl from Ireland named Sylvia and me back to our house. We picked up some donuts on the way. We watched a show on TV.

Anne found a little lost dog under the bleachers at the ball game today. She brought it home, bathed it and made it a bed out of a box top. Cher didn't mind, my dog Silver was jealous and the Cat was suprised. The dog's name is Floyd.

Bruce drove the girls home and I went to bed.

Saturday, September 9, 1978: Feeling Better

I got up at 7:55 am. I went downstairs and watched TV. This afternoon I went to get some gym junk for school. I went to the hobby shop afterwards and I bought some model glue.

I watched TV then I walked down to the store for some sunflower seeds. I went to bed at 11:30 pm.

Friday, September 8, 1978: Feeling Pukie

I got up at 8:00 am today. I felt pukie. I had breakfast. Anne and Bruce were going to drive me to school and then go to some old lady's house for breakfast. I felt sick so I didn't go to school, instead I lay down. I fell asleep for several hours. I had a cup of soup for lunch. Nothing much happened after that.

Thursday, September 7, 1978: No Lunch Money

I got up at 8:00 am today. I had breakfast. Bruce drove me to school. I had Art in first period. Afterwards I had typing class. PE was puke-e. I had to run around the field one extra time because I had no gym clothes. Then we played flag football. That was fun though. It was a close game. We won by only one touch-down.

At lunch I discovered I only had .60 cents change which wasn't enough for lunch. I called home to see if anyone was there. Anne answered and said I could get a drive back. I walked home but Dad drove by and picked me up on the way. We went to the store and got some bacon.

This afternoon I had Math and Science. In History the teacher asked me if I had any "Markers" meaning dividers for my binder. I said in a serious tone "No I only have pencil crayons". Everyone laughed except the teacher. She thought I was serious. I can't understand how anyone wouldn't get that.

I walked home from school stopping in a store to buy a freezie and two bags of sunflower seeds. I watched TV the rest of the evening.

Wednesday, September 6, 1978: First Day of Grade 9

I got up at 8:00 am. I had breakfast and went to school. Dad drove me even though he is still having heart problems. I went to the office, bought my lock and went to my home room 202. Mr. Manson is my home room teacher. I was assigned locker 1057 but the lock holder was busted so I took 1059. I went from there to my first class which was PE. We went outside and threw the pigskin (or should I say rubberskin). Then we went out for passes..

After that I had science class. I got lost and ended up in general science G6 when I should have been in advanced science G7. I got that straightened out and went to history class. The teacher is sort of a crab. I hope I'll survive.

At lunch I was going to go home but I decide to go to the Fire Pit for a burger. I got a burger and a pop which cost me $1.35. I had 50 more minutes until my next class started so I went to the hobby shop on Yonge.

When I got back to school I had English class. I think that teacher might be a pain but if I keep my grades up I'll be okay. I had math next and I like that teacher. I was the first one to the class and the teacher wasn't sure what class I was supposed to be in but this cute girl named Janet who is also in my the class came in and we straightened that out. I had music last class.

I walked home and on the way I stopped at The keyboard store. I talked to the guy there about Synthesizers. After I was finished there I walked home. I watched part of Star Trek then I went up stair to my room. I had supper at 6:30 pm. When I was finished I watched Doctor Who.

Mom, Dad, Anne and I went down to the store for school supplies. Anne and I went to the Shepperd Centre Shopping Mall for more supplies. After we walked around. Anne picked up some photos she took from the photo finishing place. We walked home afterwards. I went to bed at 11:00 pm.
